“I'd came to Willows Lake for answers and I'd already had more than I could handle. ”

This was a fast, quick read and the mystery had me wanting more. I loved it.

The Writing Style. (4/5)

Darkest Dawn was beautifully written and planned. It was written in first person and had two unique POVs. I couldn't get enough of the story and I found that the suspense had me begging for the truth.

The World. (3/5)

Darkest Dawn is based in the Modern world in a modern time but with hint Paranormal happenings. (That I can't talk about because you need to read it. )

The Plot. (5/5)

I loved this storyline. You never knew what to expect and that was awesome.

Here is a quick synopsis ↓

One desperate journey for the truth.

Returning to Willows Lake eleven years after her mother’s tragic death, Sloane Baker knows she will finally get the answers she needs! She always suspected that there was something more sinister at the heart of the accident that claimed her mother’s life, but a cryptic note could be the key to her past…

Two lives changed forever.

The small town has always seemed safe to Brianna Taylor – until a mysterious new girl arrives who looks exactly like Bri! Now everything Bri knew has been thrown into question and Sloane’s arrival has changed the world of Willows Lake forever.

Strange things are happening in Willows Lake. But when they turn deadly, Bri and Sloane must find a way to save each other or risk losing everything they hold dear…

The Characters. (4/5)

Sloane Baker

Sloane lost her mother in a tragic car accident,  now she is called upon by a mysterious letter to return to the last place she saw her mother alive. Seeking answers, she packs up and leaves.
Something strange is going on and everyone calls her "Bri", none of this makes sense to her until she meets her twin reflection.

Brianna Taylor

Bri had no idea how her world would tilt on its axes when she saw Sloane in the girls bathroom. Bri is the quiet, pushover kind of girl and she is bullied by the popular girl in class but her mother goes missing, she will do anything to find her.

Others

I loved Max, she is as smart as she is
tough. Jake kind of got confused with the two girls and there develops an awkward love triangle. Chloe an Keal both surprised and annoyed me. (Come on, they were suppose to be the bad ones!) Every character played their part magnificently in this story and it was amazing.

The smaller things.

Personally, I liked Sloane much more than everyone else.  She was independent and strong but both girls acted without thinking things through or having some sort of plan and therefore they were somewhat reckless. But, when these two girls found each other they created a bond more powerful than sisterhood.

I recommend this if you love mystery, curses and paranormal reads!
